Projects
Most of my projects come from something I think looks like fun to try to build. There are not always winners, but I usually learn something along the way and don't hate EVERYTHING I make.
Basket Illusion
With my ribbon boxes you could already tell I liked making wood look like fancy bows, so it was a logical next step to move into basket illusion. The intent is to turn a platter, bowl, vase, etc. on the lathe and then using woodburning and India ink pens, color in a pattern to make it resemble a woven basket.
Flower Bouquets
Bouquet of 6 flowers in 6 natural, exotic hardwood colors and shapes (no stains here...all natural red, orange, yellow, purple, brown, white). Let me know if you prefer specific colors or shapes.

Get your mom something she doesn't have to throw away in a week. Or your dad. Or yourself. Or neighbor? You could literally get them for anyone...what do I care.

Cedar Planters
You could probably grow anything in these naturally rot-resistant, untreated, western red cedar planters, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise…I believe in you! Great for birthdays, Mother’s Day, and Halloween (fill ’em up with candy). Not recommended for Thanksgiving.
Double thick legs and top edge means it's built to last. These ones are 15″ x 15″ x 15″, but I'm happy to make custom sizes if needed. Built to order so if you need them by a specific date, please order a few days in advance.

Ribbon and Bow Boxes
THE RIBBONS AND BOWS ARE MADE OF WOOD!
Some people ask me, “are the ribbons and bows made of wood”?
“Yes”, I tell them. “I love actual ribbons and bows as much as the next woodworker, but making boxes and tying ribbons with bows around them is not something I do. I’m not a psychopath.”
So don’t be fooled. THE RIBBONS AND BOWS ARE MADE OF WOOD!
Redwood Trees
Dad’s old deck gets the grey weathering planed away and becomes a lovely addition to your home. Just think, a tree in your own home that might contain wood I stood on in a July of yesteryear! The mix of red and yellow hues in these real redwood trees varies from tree to tree, so yours won’t look exactly like the photo. Knots, old screw and/or nail holes, and saw marks add to the reclaimed character.
There may be an infinite number of combinations you can make with these trees (or not…I’m no math scientist)…here are a few.
